The Women's Lunch Place
Women Who Give Award

Barbara McCann
2015 Women Who Give Award

Barbara is a compelling ambassador for and generous donor to the Women’s Lunch Place.  For nine years, she served on the Board of Directors, the last two years as President during a successful three million dollar capital campaign and major renovation of the shelter.  Her distinguished career at BNY Mellon, advocacy on behalf of our guests, and encouragement of young women to get involved and give back, highlight Barbara as a role model for other women in philanthropy.

Barbara joins past honorees Micho Spring, Angela Menino and Vivien Li as an effective leader in the community for the service and advancement of women. The Women Who Give award exists to honor a woman of the Boston community who has demonstrated in deeds and leadership her commitment to the support and service of other women. We could not be happier to bestow such an award on Barbara McCann.

Past Recipients:
 2014 Vivien Li
 2013 Angela Menino
2012 Micho Spring

The Women Who Give Award is presented at the Women's Lunch Place annual spring luncheon to a woman who has supported WLP on any level (volunteer and/or donor) and who has given back to the community in a selfless manner. Award recipients are women who have distinguished themselves in philanthropy in Boston and who are role models to others in the community.
